This workstation consists of 6‑axis welding robot, high‑precision ground‑rail travelling mechanism, servo‑driven rack‑and‑pinion unit, welding power source, water‑cooled welding torch, arc seam‑tracking sensor and electrical control cabinet. Customizable rail length ranges from 6 m to 16 m with maximum travelling speed of 20 m/min and ±0.1 mm repeat positioning accuracy. Dual‑station layout on both sides of track allows loading‑unloading while welding for higher uptime. Automatic lubrication module ensures reliable long‑term operation.
Supporting MIG/MAG and TIG welding processes, the system adopts arc‑tracking technology to compensate assembly tolerances for fillet welds and multi‑layer multi‑pass welding. It is widely applied for steel‑structure beams, construction machinery frames, rail‑transport components and ship sub‑assemblies. Heavy workpieces no longer require frequent hoisting and flipping. Uniform bead formation lowers rework rate.
