The grinding precision, uniformity and material thickness consistency directly determine subsequent assembly accuracy and service performance, requiring extremely strict surface finishing standards. Traditional manual grinding struggles with irregular tapered cavities, uncontrollable polishing force, uneven material removal, over-grinding or missing grinding issues, resulting in low efficiency and high scrap rates, unable to meet mass precision production demands.
To solve the processing difficulties of special-shaped projectile head workpieces, Truman independently developed a dedicated automatic projectile head grinding workstation. This intelligent finishing system supports three different specifications of projectile head blanks, realizing one-stop automatic grinding for both inner and outer walls. The workstation is equipped with a servo rotary platform, automatic centering fixture, 6-axis grinding robot and flexible force control unit. During operation, the fixture accurately centers and positions workpieces, while the servo platform drives stable workpiece rotation. The 6-axis robot carries professional grinding tools to finish outer wall grinding layer by layer along programmed trajectories. After tool replacement, the robot penetrates the inner cavity to complete precision inner wall grinding. The system supports customizable grinding thickness parameters, ensuring fully controllable and consistent material removal.
Integrated with high-precision laser detection mechanism, the workstation performs real-time dimensional inspection and verification after grinding, effectively guaranteeing uniform wall thickness and qualified surface finish. Equipped with a fully enclosed protective room and fixed-point dust removal device, it efficiently collects grinding dust, optimizes the working environment and meets industrial environmental protection standards.
