The dual‑robot gantry welding workstation is a complete large‑stroke collaborative robotic welding package for building steel‑structure and bridge heavy‑industry. Two 6‑axis welding robots are mounted on the gantry crossbeam. Driven by long‑travel X‑axis gantry mechanism, robots can work synchronously in collaboration or run independently, greatly boosting throughput for heavy‑duty workpieces.
The workstation is equipped with two sets of 6‑axis welding robots. Each robot delivers 2010 mm maximum reach, 6 kg payload and ±0.05 mm repeat positioning accuracy. The gantry system adopts rack‑and‑pinion and linear‑guide transmission. Overall dimension is 24×7.5×3.9 m with total power of 30 KW and maximum working envelope of 22×0.5×0.45 m. Average daily welding output reaches 140‑200 meters. It includes dual MIG/MAG power sources, water‑cooled anti‑collision torches, laser vision seam‑tracking system, torch cleaning‑wire‑cutting unit and centralized electrical control cabinet.
The laser vision seam‑tracking system dynamically compensates dimensional deviations from cutting and assembly, ensuring stable fillet welds, lap welds and multi‑layer multi‑pass welding. Large‑travel gantry movement allows overhead‑crane direct loading to simplify fixture setup. Water‑cooled torches support long‑hour non‑stop production and reduce spatter‑related defects.
Modular integrated structure enables easy on‑site assembly and commissioning. Gantry travel and beam span can be custom‑engineered. Replacing strenuous manual welding, it provides uniform weld beads and lowers rework volume while easing skilled‑welder shortage.
